New Zealand - Italy 88:82

New Zealand continued their World Cup preparations. They faced Italy at the AusTiger Tournament and claimed victory. Corey Webster (188-G-88, college: Lambuth, agency: Alti Sport) produced 21 points to lead the Tall Blacks.
New Zealand grabbed a massive 26:14 lead after ten minutes. Italy cut the deficit at 9-point mark at the big break 37:46. The Europeans pulled within three points at the big break. But the Kiwis sank 24 points in the fourth stanza and got away with the win. Isaac Fotu (203-F-93, college: Hawaii) and Ethan Rusbatch (196-G/F-92, college: Lincoln Trail CC) chipped in 11 points each for New Zealand. Marco Belinelli (196-G-86) answered with 19 points for Italy. Danilo Gallinari (208-SF-88) had 22 points for the Azzurri.
